Benefits Of Being An Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing has become one of the most effective ways to advertise online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with a website to make a profit online. Affiliate Marketing is an agreement between a merchant and a website owner. The website owner, or the affiliate, allows the use of their site for the promotion of the merchant’s products by linking to the merchant’s website. In exchange, the merchant pays a commission to the affiliate on all sales generated by the affiliate. Every time someone clicks on the link on the affiliate website and proceeds to make a purchase, the affiliate gets a commission. The merchant will pay the affiliate only when a customer clicks on the product link and makes a purchase.

The Ultimate Internet Marketing Technique?

Most people think marketing’s just advertising or selling goods and services. Advertising and selling are part of it, but not the whole picture. Marketing is everything involved in identifying the wants and needs of a targeted group of customers, and then doing what it takes to satisfy those customers.

Of course, you’ll have competitors trying to do the same thing better than you. You’ll do market research on customers and analyze their needs. You’ll use what you learn to make decisions about designing your product, pricing, promoting (including advertising), distributing and trying to sell your product.

10 Reasons Why People Fail At Internet Marketing

It is estimated that approximately 95% of people fail online, lose money, or never make a penny from Internet marketing….. and that’s not just some made-up statistic to get your attention. If I had a dollar for every time a ‘would-be’ marketer asked my advice about where they’re going wrong……

For every story you hear of someone making $10,000 a month at Internet marketing there are hundreds of untold stories of those who failed to make a profit or only made a few dollars and then quit. Why do so many fail when the potential to succeed is high?

SALES TIPS – COLD CALLING

This is not for the feint hearted. You need to be thick skinned and have, or develop, an immunity to rejection. This having been said you need to remember that people buy from people and this is the most effective form of marketing.

You may not get to speak to the decision maker first time round but you should be able to establish their identity (name and position) and contact details (personal e-mail address or direct telephone number). Ask for their business card.

In any event you should get to know the receptionist so that they know you next time you call. Also, leave your business card and a leaflet, with a request for them to be placed on the decision maker’s desk.

Cold calling works best (is more efficient) where you have a number of businesses in the same vicinity such as a high street or shopping arcade, a business park or industrial estate.

You can increase your chances of success by doing a bit of research first. Spend some time over the week-end, when less people are about, assessing prospect’s premises – the better presented / tidier they are, the more business like the owner is likely to be.
